They never responded to us.
We moved into their warehousing in October of 2017 just before the holiday push. With such a short time from when we moved in to the holidays, we knew there was lots of work to do. However, after our first holiday season there we knew we had made the right choice to have them as our fulfillment company. We experienced less than 1% reship and miss pick that holiday season and we were incredibly pleased with that given the thousands of orders that were shipped in 5 weeks. Since that first Christmas, they had continued to impress us. When we first came to them we were one of their largest frozen fulfillment accounts. They have grown much larger bringing in accounts more significant in size than ours, but we wouldn’t know that since they find a way to make us feel like we are the top priority. As a business we have been up in sales on average 8-15% year over year since we have come to their company. As we grew, so did their infrastructure. Since 2017 they have built out more accommodating fulfillment lines to better handle the increased volume. They don’t stop there. They are always planning the next upgrade or the best way to add more volume to their lines. We feel confident that they are making the right decisions for not just their future but ours as well. In the years to come we have plans for growth and they are a big part of those plans. In that growth there will need to be upgrades with our integration, fulfillment infrastructure, and warehouse storage of our products. They are always great at keeping the lines of communication open to discuss ideas, needs and wants. It is this openness that will continue to help grow our two companies. We look forward to the years to come with them.
We have been impressed with their team’s ability to support our business, which has strong cyclical demand that escalates throughout spring, summer and fall. We also experience record demand swings for November’s Cyber Monday sales, with volumes that more than doubles normal rates. Their team has done an amazing job communicating and working together with our team to ensure our customers don’t feel the impact. Working with them is more like an extension of our team, rather than a traditional vendor service.
First, let me state that everyone at your company has been extremely helpful and professional in my dealings with them. Special kudos to Pam and Maria in the Seattle-area warehouse. Since I am a newcomer with this, I certainly appreciate their efforts and I am very pleased with them as a shipping partner.
We operated our own warehouse for 15 years, but we were never a warehousing company. We just didn’t realize that we had an alternative. I just wish we had switched to Smart sooner. They flex into our seasonal demand flawlessly, even though our volume spikes dramatically. We do 25% of our packages for the year in a 12-day window, and Smart handles that spike in volume flawlessly. Our systems were easy to integrate, and we get real time updates on the status of our packages. In 2020, we are hopeful that Bubbles will make it even easier for us to follow our packages and identify potential problems in real time.
